We all love a good Smart TV, but they are somewhat expensive. Of course, the cost isn't always the main factor when we are considering whether we want to buy a Smart TV or not. Several people find their features limited, and they want more. A great TV Box can vastly change our experience with a traditional TV. In this review, we got our hands on the Android TV Box Beelink GT1 Ultimate. So, would it be fair to say that Beelink is the king of TV Boxes?

Who is Beelink?
Beelink is a China-based tech manufacturer. Their products range from Mini PCs and TV Boxes to Car DVRs. Nonetheless, it has proven to be the best TV Box manufacturer on the market.
In this review, we will be presenting Beelink GT1 Ultimate, one of the well-most known models from the company.
Specifications
Inside the device, we will find the octa-core Amlogic S912, clocked at 2Ghz, and the efficient Mali-T820MP3 GPU.
The storage space is 32GB, expandable up to 64GB. Meanwhile, it has a DDR4 3GB RAM.
Finally, the UI is based on Android 7.1 Nougat.
Media Supported
The most important feature of a media player is what formats it supports.
No matter the processor or RAM a TV Box might have, it is useless if it's not compatible with the most popular file formats.
The Beelink GT1 Ultimate supports the decoding formats: H.263, H.264, H.265, HD MPEG4, and a screen resolution of up to 4K (4096 x 2160), at 60 fps.
The supporting video formats are the following: 3D, 4K, AVI, DAT, H.265, ISO, MKV, MP4, MPEG, MPEG-1, MPEG2, MPEG4, RM, WMV.
As far as sound goes, it supports the most known sound formats, AAC, DTS, FLAC, MP3, OGG, RM, WMA, as well as 5.1 surround sound output.
Finally, it supports the following photo formats: GIF, JPEG, JPG, PNG.
Connectivity
The Beelink GT1 Ultimate has Bluetooth 4.0 and connects via LAN, with speeds of up to 120Mbps. Via WiFi, however, it supports the fast dual-band 802.11ac, in the 2.4 and 5.8GHz frequencies.
Of course, if our TV Box is close to our router, then we should choose a cable to ensure a faster and more stable connection.
Power requirements
The Beelink GT1 Ultimate is powered by an external adapter, with a 100-240V/50-60Hz input and 5V/2A output. The charger is available in EU, US, and UK types of electrical outlet plugs.
Dimensions
The Beelink GT1 Ultimate is relatively small. The TV Box is only 3.78x3.78x0.63 inches.
Unboxing and first impressions
The Beelink GT1 Ultimate was in a black cardboard box with silver letters. In the front, we will find the company's logo and slogan. Meanwhile, the back features its specifications.
When we open the package, the first thing we see is the shiny TV Box.
After unboxing everything, we will find the remote control, an HDMI cable, the power adapter, and the two-page informative manual, which, unlike some of the other products we've reviewed, is thankfully in English.
The design of Beelink GT1 Ultimate is modern, geometric, and relatively unique, making it stand out from the run-of-the-mill, simple, black TV Boxes.
On the back of the device, we will find the DC charging port, a USB 2.0, an HDMI, the Ethernet port, and the SPDIF.
On the left side, there is one more USB and a microSD port.
The remote control has various advanced functions. For example, it lets us program some TV buttons.
We can program these buttons to open or close the TV, as well as increase and decrease the volume of the television. As a result, we won't have to carry two remote controls, and we will soon forget what our TV's remote even looks like.
User Experience
The Beelink GT1 Ultimate is easy to use. The launcher is well organized and straightforward. It's worth noting that it also provides us with a weather forecast.
In any case, if we don't like the preinstalled launcher, we can install any one of our choice from the Play Store.
Beelink's TV Box offers the mouse function through a special button on the remote control. The truth is, it's not very useful. However, the device is compatible with many peripherals.
On our tests, we connected mouses, keyboards, and even PC controllers.
We didn't experience any problem while controlling the TV Box or while playing the demanding Asphalt 8: Airborne, which runs great on the GT1 Ultimate.
Finally, the GT1 Ultimate did amazingly while playing videos or streaming on Netflix in 4K.
Benchmark and evaluation
Next, we will see the benchmarks of Beelink GT1 Ultimate, and we will compare them to Alfawise H96 Pro+ and Alfawise S92.
Overall, the GT1 Ultimate did exceptionally well. It won the battle on three out of six tests, and on nine out of fifteen points, which proves Beelink rules the world of TV Boxes.
Where can I find the Beelink GT1 Ultimate?
We got the Beelink GT1 Ultimate from Gearbest, and at the moment these lines are being written, it costs $73.99 from the Chinese warehouse and $91.21 from the US-LA one.
The price difference is relatively small, so purchasing it from the US warehouse and getting it way faster is a far safer bet.
Would you buy the Beelink GT1 Ultimate?
Beelink has created another powerful TV Box of exceptional quality. It's stylish, and its price is certainly competitive, if not tempting.
