Have you found a page with multiple images, and want to download them all? Doing a "Right-click -> Save Image As" for each one is tiresome and annoying, there must be a better way. On this guide, we will use the "Fatkun Batch Download Image" Chrome extension, to mass-download images easily, as well as use advanced filters to pick and choose the photos we like.

Why we chose Fatkun Batch Download Image
The most popular extension to mass-download images for Chrome is Image Downloader, with nearly 475,000 users as of this writing.
For this guide, however, we selected Fatkun Batch Download Image. It might be a much smaller extension, with less than half of the user base, but it has better ratings, averaging 4.34/5 with 1079 reviews.
Apart from the reviews, we tested both extensions, and we liked Fatkun a bit more. Taste is subjective, however, and you should try both yourselves, to choose the one you prefer.
How to mass-download images on Chrome
So, having installed Fatkun Batch Download Image, we just need to find a website with pictures we like. For the guide, we visited https://www.reddit.com/r/earthporn, which features beautiful photographs of various locations.
Clicking on the extension's icon, we can select either the current tab or all the open tabs.
The extension will open a new tab, where it will show all the images it has detected.
Of course, when we want to mass-download images, we don't care about thumbnails or website-related graphics.
This is easy to fix, though. We just have to use the Min Width and Min Height sliders, to weed out the unwanted images.
The extension, apart from the pictures visible on the website, will also follow direct links to images, such as the ones used on Reddit.
However, the extension won't follow links that lead to a page that contains the image. In such galleries, such as Facebook albums, we first need to open each image in each own tab and then select the "All Tabs" option in Fatkun.
By default, all the pictures that appear on the extension's tab are selected for download. We can click those we don't want, and we can use the Toggle button to invert the selection.
When we have made our choice, we click on "Save Image."
The extension will warn us that if we have the "Ask where to save each file before downloading" option in Chrome, we will get a confirmation for each of the images.
The default for Chrome is to download automatically without a prompt, so if we haven't changed it in the Chrome settings, we don't need to worry.
The extension will create a new folder based on the website's title, and download all the images there.
We can also click on "More options," to filter the images by link, sort them by site or size, and automatically rename them based on a pattern.
Finally, if we want to mass-download animated gifs, e.g. from Giphy, Fatkun Batch Download Image will show the full animation for each

I thought it all sounded a bit too easy then I read:
"We can also click on "More options", to filter the images by link, sort them by site or size, and automatically rename them based on a pattern."
Now I see that you still need to sort links, rename, sort size.
This is not my idea of simple or straightforward.
Images downloaded have been shrunk! Is this due to the extension or do I need to change some kind of setting in Chrome ??
Does this happen on every site? It's possible the extension is downloading just the thumbnails in specific sites, not the links to the full pictures behind the thumbnails.
How can i download the full images, not the thumbnails from a page?
yeah i saw this in the 1st google result
Gallerify is better than Fatkun!! believe me.
